I'll have to ask an ex-Arty officer I know, but the "L5" sounds suspiciously
like something the CF or Brits used over in Europe with mixed results. I
can't remember anything like details, but they weren't well-loved, and I
think they had some quirk or other design failing which rendered them all
but useless for shooting at things. I might well be far out in left field,
but that's what I recall. Something to do with the barrels?
