Besides the obvious) and expensive choice) of using a Detroit Locker
for 2 1/2 tons(m135/211/35 etc), has anyone ever had experience with
something in an electric type or mechanical( cable,air or otherwise
actuated) diff lock, such as one found in a big rig or tractor.
Those guys have been using them for years and the little guys( 1/2 to
1 ton 4x4 guys) manufacturers are starting to get into them big time.
Lots of off shore euro army stuff uses them as well( Unimogs etc). I
have been dreaming up a way to make my own, but am a little limited in
manufacturing skill( and cash). Being able to disengage them would be a
fantastic option.
Please post whatever information you may have.....
