Sorry. My fault for not reading thoroughly. Just remembered that the
Arty.
Major said they tracked too narrow to tow properly behind anything, in case
anyone's got any ideas about the perfect accessory for a lonely
pintle-hitch. Still be cool to see one at a show or two. I've got my eyes
on a Bofors I'm planning to clean up come summer for the purposes of
parades, but far too many winters spent as a kids playground in some park
make it an uphill battle all the way.
BTW, anyone know of Bofors parts sources? This one has about 2/3 of the
Canadian-style carriage and most of the bits, but the demil gang torched
off
the yokes, wheels, and leveling handles. Rotten sods. What's the bet that
the carriage is the hardest bit to acquire spares for?
One more thing while I'm here. I've emailed a few folks asking about the
availability of WWII CCKW's and what-not for a film company that was
thinking of doing a big WWII production here in B.C., but I've just heard
from the film commission that it went to Czechoslovakia instead. Apologies
if I wasted anyone's time, but that's the way it works out more often than
not, I'm afraid. Frustrating for us too.
