yes but there is a metal cover over the plastic which is brass. in the
case of the high beam light it's just got a hole in the middle for the red
plastic to poke thru. they also are used in some places with no metal cover
at all for warning lights. i suspect that he just has one with the paint
removed and thus the brass appears as gold, can't think of any other
explaination.
