Some years ago, a good friend of mine in our militia (the rough equivalent of
your National Guard) attended a formal regimental ball... he picked up his
date in his restored 1940 15cwt 11-cab Ford and rolled right up to the front
door of Casa Loma (in Toronto) along with the rest of the limos! The traffic
directors never did figure out what to make of it...
What the girl thought about it remains unrecorded, but he became a folk hero
in his unit. :-)
