Over the last year costs of most everything have gone up across the board,
mostly due to energy costs. The costs of the magazine has not gone up.
I probably don't want a magazine which is 90% ads however often ads save me
a lot of searching for a unique item. I mean, I can't go to K-Mart, Pep
Boys, Costco or Home Depot for a NOS carb for my M37B1 or to find a used
part of a half-track.
Also, someone coming into the hobby new doesn't have years worth of back
issues to search for the items she may want.
And as was said: If I'm not interested in models, etc. I can skip over the
ad easily. Let's just be thankful there IS a publication catering to us
since in the scheme of things, we are a very small minority.
Keep em printing.
