Howdy Jerry,
This is the third email I received from the Trooper. In his second email
he said that his CO wanted an IR spotlight of some sort to improve night
driving. Since the binocular night vision headsets pick up IR also,
Maybe the CO is using these?

howdy mel,
thanks for responding to my email. i would really appreciate
any
help you might be able to give me. i actually went to google.com which
is a
really good search engine and typed in military nsn's, and it pulled up
several links from the web. somehow your name and email came up stating
your
interest in nsn's. so i went from there. im stuck up in our s3 shop
right
now. im currently the BC's rto and in charge of the 5 drivers and
vehicles. i
cant wait to get back down to scouts. i had an injury that kept me from
performing to my fullest down on the line. thanks again for your help.

If you email him directly maybe he can shed some light on the situation.
