I totally agree. The town I live in (900 people) had one large employer. They
made steering wheels for the big three, now some small town in Mexico has the
plant and they are making steering wheels. So much for NAFTA.

That's about 90% of the companies in the USA. Most of our economy is based on
selling flash (unfortunately, whether I like it or not) We all need a new car
with a bright shiney finish and a new house, and ...... being in sales, I
understand that I have to sell stuff to make a living. How many people
actually use a SUV to drive off road???? So if that is what they want, I'll
deliver it to the customer as long as I can do it without breaching my morals.
(Yes, salesman have morals also) Is it in their best interest?? It really
isn't my position to judge what everyone else believes is in their best
interest. (ie SUV are a lot safer than GEO Metros, but they use more gas which
causes more pollution.)

Unfortunately you are correct. I don't believe that Capitalism means you leave
your morals at home when you go to work. But of course, not everyone believes
as I do. (:->) Fortunately I have my M51 to tinker with to forget about how
screwed up the world is! (Shameless MV content plug)
