deuce injection question

On a M35A2 with LDT-465, there are three marks involved in timing the
injection pump.
A)The pointer and mark on the dampener on the engine crankshaft.
B)The mark visible through the access door on top of the governor housing.
C)The mark that is visible through the fuel shut off door on the side of the
pump.

As I recall (don't have the manual handy), A&B can be timed correctly, with C
180 degrees out of time.
Is my memory correct?
If you put it together like this, will the truck run?
If so, what does it run like?
Has anyone on the list done this?
