I'm a neophyte to such things...but, wouldn't it be
easier to tow it? Or perhaps, at the least, get a low
trailer with a winch to pull it up onto it and move.
Getting involved in trying to overhaul the engine
might take longer and cost more in the long run. A
quick fire up to run it three miles might cause
damage.
Still, if the overall goal is to get it into running
shape, heck, then go for it. I've always had a soft
spot for the M42.
