In Andover Kansas.
M725 Ambulance
Painted outside as Civil Defense vehicle
Painted inside, plain old OD green, interior paint was very good condition.
No rust that I could see, but it was muddy so I did not go under to look.
CD paint was like new.
16,000 miles
Back interior is mint, near as I can tell. All the seat pads are there and
intact, no cracks or splits. The litter racks for the upper berths are
there and so is all the hanger hardware. The rear boarding ladder was
there, but removed and stored inside the back. All the dome lights were
there as well as the heater controls. Flood light on back top of body over
doors, pointing aft, this looked original.
The cab has extra wiring for the lights and sirens, but it is all out in
plain sight, looked pretty easy to remove. Switch panels for extras are
mounted on separate panels mounted to the floor and underside of dash, not
holes drilled and mounted in the dash front. Master switch is still
present, no ignition key has been installed. The drivers seats were shot,
which does not make sense to me, given the great condition of the rest of
the truck. Maybe he swapped them out or something to keep them from being
stolen, I don't know for sure.
Tires are about 40%, I do not know if there was anything special about the
rims. The big heavy stamped steel tie-down things were mounted over the
hubs. The towing loops are still on the front bumper. Siren is missing and
there are a couple extra holes in the body for the added lights. What looks
like an original hand controlled spot light in the center of the front
portion of the roof was still in place.
Engine looked OK, turned over but did not start as batteries were real weak.
Batteries mounts are a mix of civilian and military hardware. Engine looked
all original. All the military lights were still in place.
Seller had $5800.00 posted as price. Number to call is:

I do not know this guy, just found it sitting in the corner of a business
lot where the owner and the business man are friends and he gave him space
to display.
According to the guy at the lot the owners wife told him he could not have a
new project until he got rid of something else.
