Let's add to the list of gasket goops here:

1) I have used "Gas and Oil Resistant Grease" (GRG). Similar to putting
grease on the gaskets as some listers mentioned, but should not eventually
dissolve. Surfaces won't leak, and disassemble readily. This is one step
better than chassis grease!

2) Yamabond. Available in the US at your local Yamaha motorcycle dealer. It
is thin and sticky, but it doesn't solidify like most gasket sealers. It
works wonderfully on aircraft radial engines as well as any other
semi-permanent installation where two machined surfaces are joined (with or
without a gasket). One tube easily lasts so long that I end up losing it
before I use it all up, and even then it isn't too expensive.

Yes will vouch for Tight Seal. A radial engine Mechanic does not leave
home with out a can!!!! You can re-use the gaskets with this, for it does
not fully harden.......its a silly puddy like subastance. I have used it on
my M35A2...........and it works ok. Though was in fla last month and got to
fly a 1938 Gullwing Stension with a 300hp Lycoming..........not a DROP OF
OIL!!!!!!! Something got to be wrong with it.............told me another
trick..........................used Lubriplate on the gaskets........not
Tight Seal.......................waiting to try it with our Wright 760-8
