Is the engine a GM 6.2 liter V8 diesel? I changed out the injection
pump on my HMMWV's 6.2 liter diesel engine. It was a lot of work, but
it's something that a novice mechanic can do, with a lot of care. I
wouldn't try performing any internal repairs or adjustments on the
pump, though.
