BRIEF BIOGRAPHY - JACK TOMLIN
1958 - GRADUATED FROM HIGH SCHOOL
1958 - 1961 - U.S.M.C. HONORABLE DISCHARGE
1962 - 1969 - College - various courses. Four years BA equivalent.
1980 - 1981 - Aleutian Island - Alaska -Clean Up the island for the
United States Navy. 30,000 tons of
clean up. Received Certificate of Appreciation.
1981 - 1986 - Originator of the Military Vehicle Preservation Association.
6,000 members. Board of
Directors, six years, Vice President, one year,
President two years.
1988 - 1999 - Sent Amphibious Truck (DUKW) WWII - two and one-half ton to
Europe to participate
in Historical events.
1989 - 45th Amphibious reinactment at Normandy. Received
Certificate of Appreciation from
French Government
1991 - Pearl Harbor Commemoration in Hawaii.
1994 - 50th Amphibious participation at Normandy -
Certification of Appreciation from French
Crossed the English Channel, landed in France
twice in my DUKW for the 45th and 50th
Anniversary
1995 - VE Day celebration - Holland - Amsterdam -
Crossed the English Channel , landed in France

1999 - 55th Amphibious participation at Normandy - Received a

Appreciation from the French.

NRA - Life Member - 32 years - Golden Eagle supporter.
Currently - President of the Utah Military Vehicle Restoration Club - 60
members.
1997 - Current - Utah Military Museum Curator for gathering
artifacts.
