I too just received a virus message and have forwarded it to Jaime for
further investigations.
Two important points to remember about these viruses:
1. You cannot be infected by a virus just by reading an email. Viruses
always arrive as an attachment to the email. If you don't open the
attachment your computer will not be infected. After forwarding the message
to Jaime I deleted the message then went to the deleted items folder and
deleted it again so I can never accidently run across that attachment in
openable form.
2. While messages from the list will not carry attachments anyone can send
a message with a subject that looks like it comes from the list. I sort my
emails into a milveh folder based on the appearence of MV or milveh in the
subject line. So the message with the virus showed up in my milveh folder.
Looks like we're under attack. Seems like everyone posting to the list is
receiving an attached virus response.
Regards to all, Lou
