If you have to ship something via truck, take a look at alternatives to
freightquote.com. I had poor results from them. There are other shipping
brokers out there. I have two gripes with them. I was lead to believe
both by the web site and by their sales guy that I would get my shipment
in 2 days. Not so. That's just a hopeful guess. It took 5 days. It sat
for 3 days in a distribution hub because the actual carrier, Oak Harbor
(who I don't have any problem with) doesn't come to my town exept every
day. That information was not given to me up front.
The second gripe is with one of their sales guys. You know the type:
You can't say anything without being interrupted constantly. I asked for
someone else to deal with and they just gave me back to the same guy.
Now for the positive side: Let's hear from people that have had good
experiences with shipping brokers and companies. I know there are othere
brokers out there.
