I have two early jeep frames with springs & axles. I want to take the
best parts of each, and make make one good one. One has the U shaped
spring shackles with the left and right hand special nuts/bearings, and
the other has the conventional rubber bushed "silent" type. Question
is, will the silent bushing / shackle fit into the housings for the U
type shackle?

OK, they are CJ2's, I believe... *cringe*
