Variprime is excellent stuff and should work fine on your engine also. Just
make sure the engine is really clean and oil free or nothing will stick.
I'd seriously consider a good HVLP spray gun. I've seen several decent ones
for about $100. You know how much Variprime costs and I have found the HVLP
spray guns oftentime use about 1/2 the paint to get the same coverage. You
can pay for the spraygun in saved paint in one job! The HVLP guns just
produce a lot less overspray.
