Hi Todd,
Well, I can tell you (having just inspected my stocks of NOS Mutt carbs)
that the 13660B cast-marked carbs are the manually adjustable mixture-screw
variety and the 12848 versions are the emission-control carbs. The
emission-control carb is the technically correct carb for your truck with
that tank.
Is the rest of the EC system still there?
The extra ports in your petrol tank are for the emission-control system
