Well I've used a propane torch set on low with the fan tip
to heat the stubborn thick parts of goop till its soft and
use a wide putty/gasket scraper to remove the bulk of it..
Just make sure you have a fully charged fire extinishuer and
the garden hose rigged just in case .. Then its a matter of
removing the remainder with a high presser washer ..
