Hi all:
Just saw on the Today show a segment on the History Channels "Great
Race". Two former Battle of the Bulge POWs got together and entered a 1943
Ford Jeep. Vehicle is Number 70, with Driver Ken Smith and Navigator John
Swett.
According to the Web Site http://greatrace.com/ they are departing
Kirkwood MO today and end up in Pasadena, CA on the 30th. From the
segment,it looked like they had put lock out hubs on it, but it looked real
sharp and they appeared to be wearing period uniforms.
Anyone have any background on these two hardy souls and their vehicle?
