Worked on the upper wiring harness last night. It did not go
smoothly. First, the colors didn't match between the lower and upper
harness, so some wiring diagram translation, even meter checking was needed.

Once the fire wall junction block was wired I moved on the the light
switch. I planned to use a replacement NOS unit that came with the
truck. I hunted it up, only to find one of the terminals was missing. I
then spent another hour or so grafting in a replacement terminal from the
old switch. I then hooked all the wires up and secured it to the dash,
only to have a different terminal fall off in the process! I undid all the
wiring, tossed the switch in my briefcase and called it a night.

During lunch break today I got some help from the engineers at work. By
taking the top off the switch, center drilling the contacts, wiring, and
soldering, we were able to put Humpty back together again. Considering
replacement units are running $110.00, it was a lunch hour well spent.
