I don't know how to say this. New points, plugs, condenser, fuel filter,
fuel pump, and I still couldn't get it to run. Poured gas in the carb, a
sputter, but no go. While letting this all sink in, I saw a gas gauge on
eBay which I won. I installed the gauge. Disappointment. It didn't work.
Now here's the scary part. I took a clean stick, actually 1/4-round
molding, and stuck it in the gas tank. It came out dry as the Sahara.
Well, duh! A few gallons poured in and I was driving around the house!
Next, up the driveway. Next, no plates, no insurance, no inspection, up and
down the road! Ain't it great livin' in the country? All I gotta do now is
check all my fluids and I'll be road ready. If you want to see her, my wife
has put pictures (of the jeep, not my wife) up at:

Are there any re-enactors in the central New York area (between Syracuse and
Utica)?
Saving a bit of history,
