Hi Buzz:

Good pictures and a nice project:

A few comments (Please do not take these as critical, I am making
observations based on my 4 years of research on the early MUTT. maybe some
things you do not know):

You are lucky, you have the early style front hubs (Look like footballs as
opposed to the later more skeletal type) Most seem to have been upgraded
over their life span, and it took me 2 years to find a set for myself)

You have the early hood (3 ribs inside rather than 2, and a different type
of footman loop on the top), STRAIGHT!!! Dual ear hood latches (If you need
replacements, Frontline has them)

The interior:
You have the early petals, hard to come by these days, and much more
comfortable to drive barefoot than the later toothed A-2 petals (Ouch!!!)

Correct e brake lever and boots, Later style heater (Early one looked like a
M37 heater on its end, mounted vertically under the dash, If anyone ever
finds one, i will pay big bucks for one)

Early seats, very nice

The top of the aircleaner and the precleaner are later additions. The early
cover is flat (i.e. without the bulls eye rings pressed into it), and the
precleaner looks like a bee hive (Hard to explain, but if you want I can
send pix)

The floor drain covers are missing, very hard to find, I have a pair, if you
need pix or measurements to work from, I would be glad to help.

I can see you spent the time to had scrape the undercoating off by hand ( I
still have cuts on my fingers from the same process.)

What is the SN of the truck?

Hank

Lister's
I have started restoration on a '62 M151jeep. This time I made the
brackets to rotate it and there
is a page on replacing the front "A" arm bushings.
Does anyone have the front turn signal lights for a Early M151?
Thanks,

Buzz
