Glenn,
I've never used the product, but I'd make sure that the company assumes some
liability for their product and your engine.

Subject: [MV] Holts Wondarweld - anyone used it ?

Hi List
I have a cracked engine block
Bought some Holts Wondarweld to fix it - "Designed to permanently seal
cracks in cylinder blocks."

Problem is the instructions are a bit strange. I rang Holts helpline and
they weren't sure either !!
This is what the instructions say :-
1. Drain off Coolant with clean water.
2. Flush engine with Holts Speedflush.
3. Run engine until warm.
4. Pour Wondarweld into Thermostat housing. Replace thermostat.
5. Fill radiator with Hot Water
6. Run engine .... blah blah .....

So after initial flushing, the engine has no water in it. Then you run the
engine with no water in it ??
Then you put Wondarweld into the block and then you fill the radiator ?
I can see some logic in this but find it hard to believe that you run the
engine with no water in it first.
Like I say, Holts helpline were confused. The person said they had been
advising people to warm the engine up with water in it and just add the
Wondarweld. I pointed out that this was the opposite of what the
instructions said.
So they said - well just follow the instructions then !!!
Very helpful.

All advice or sarcastic comments welcome :-)
Glenn
