When I was in (88-94), USMC vehicles didn't have unit info on them. Each
vehicle had it's own unique number (7 digits?) and a 5 digit RUC (Reporting
Unit Code). On 5 tons the vehicle number was on the side of the hood and
the RUC was on the doors.
