I would not be surprised if more people were killed today than in Vietnam. I
think there were about 4000 killed at Pearl Harbor and 50,000 in 'Nam. There
were close to 1000 killed on the planes alone. There could have been many, many
thousands killed in the World Trade buildings. 15 minutes is not a long time to
evacuate buildings of that size.
This is an outrage. I'd guess it was carried out by fewer than 20 suicide
terrorists with a few handguns. There will likely be consequences far beyong
what even can imagine now. This was not a high tech attack.
