Esteemed listers and hopelessly liberal dissenters:
I have just ended my long shift at a Navy Radar site, so you can imagine how we were locked down and at a heightened state of defensive posture. All day long, flights of carrier based fighters have been flying patrols overhead, and our gates were barred to all comers. At times like this, one becomes introspective. My usually mundane job routine suddenly becomes fraught with danger, and I must depend on someone else's procedures for my personal safety. I offer the following:
What do we have here in the US that makes us the targets of things like these attacks?
I believe it is our unbridled freedom to travel unhindered, without question in most cases, to own and accumulate property, to raise our children in the fashion and religion of our own choosing, to question our elected officials and criticize our government without fear of reprisal, again in most cases, and the open opportunity to aspire to anything we wish. Here, we can really make anything come true if we work at it. To the degree we enjoy these things, we are unique in all the world. Every human being secretly, or openly, whatever the case may be, covets these things we enjoy. Because we demand these things and are willing to go to war for them, we have often become the hated enemies of peoples who are green with envy over what we have. Residents of other countries, even relatively free neighbors, (you know who you are!) will assure us that they also enjoy these things, and that America is not that special, but in their guts, they know who's really free and who's not.
For our freedoms, we suffer the attacks of people everywhere who seek either to take what we have, or else to make sure we lose it, if they can't have it. Sometimes this takes the form of war, but more often it takes the form of political pressure, terrorism, and anti-American sentiment. We are excluded from the world community's affairs because our lifestyle is resented the world around. Today, we were again attacked by people who will never enjoy what we take for granted in the US. We take it for granted because it is what we demand from life, nothing less. For all the flaws in our system, and the frailties of our officials at times, we have managed to preserve these things for two centuries.
You have heard many times during the day that no act of terror will ever damage the foundations of the Amercian system. However, we need to be vigilant against another threat, one less defined, and more dangerous. That threat is creeping liberalism, the consummate evil that wishes to destroy us from within. To see how this is evil, take one American freedom at a time, and then examine how a liberal person addresses himself to it. We have already seen on this list today that we even have people in our midst who want to control what we think and talk about. They creep like slimy vermin into our systems, use our own rules and laws against us, and shower us with angry epithets and prophesies when they cannot force us to think their way. They demand that we shut up because our "whining" pisses them off. They have not the simple courage to win a stand up fight.
There is NO DIFFERENCE whatsoever between the evil forces which try to bomb and destroy us from outside our country, and the sick liberal mindset that permeates every thread of our society and attempts to dismantle us from within. Yup, they are one and the same. Think about it! Every time a real patriotic concerned American writes something like this, the "oppressive government is good so MORE oppressive government must be better" crowd lines up to shoot arrows into that person. Yet, just one of their silly oppressive laws does more damage to our society's freedoms than ten world trade bombings. To see who the enemy really is, all you have to do is watch who gets mad and replies when an American speaks out in anger. One thing about a liberal is that they get enraged if you think outside their value system. They cannot tolerate the mere fact that someone harbors thoughts of freedom and liberty above their own thoughts of socialism, people control, and rule by edict. These are the same folks who brought you
income tax, the Federal Reserve, the UN, The WTO, Chinese control of the Panama Canal, NAFTA, all the foolish traffic laws and insurance laws that everyone bitches about here, seatbelt laws, helmet laws, cigarette and liquor laws, stop light cameras, ad nauseam. It is these same folks who must be purged from our socitety, not by violence, but by firm persistent education and relentless social pressure. Teach your children to revile them. Let them be the ones who must hide their faces in public, and be shunned by the masses of freedom loving folks. Let's make this the decade of new American patriotism, and quietly but firmly eject these misfits from our land. If we don't it's clear to me that we will no longer be able to own a gun, drive a motor vehicle, restore an army truck, or live our lives out as we wish to. To say that these things have no connection with our hobby, or in fact with the whole idea of military establishment, is to fly in the face of plain ordinary reason. What is it that these people don'
t understand? Their system of control and oppression has consistently failed in every country it has ever been tried, and they have been run out of Dodge more times than the Clanton gang. Let the fight begin here, and let's make THEM live out their lives as the targets of anger and ridicule, as oddities and eccentrics and misfits, as they truly are. If your old MV was ever good for anything, it was to engage in the fight for these freedoms that they would take from us. It may now be too old to fight, and it may be outdated and obsolete, fit only for parades and rallies, but let's all try to live up to the courage of the folks who originally drove these things into battle, let's stand fast against this threat from within. Don't argue issues and politics with the liberals and rights stealers...they are organically brain damaged and cannot participate. The average liberal is as dumb as a box of hair, and it may look like the lights are on, but trust me, there's nobody living in there. At every opportunity, of
fend them, cheat them, fire them, ignore them, laugh at them, insult them, and discriminate against them in every possible way, abridge THEIR rights, and make them run. Do this with extreme prejudice, for they are the real enemy. Possibly, just possibly, we will win this fight, and with it, we will again enjoy what we once had earned and let slip. The price of freedom is eternal vigilance.
We weren't vigilant enough. Once liberalism reared its ugly head, the trade towers were already destroyed, and we behave as if it just happened this morning. You don't pick a snake up and move him, you step on his head and feed him to your hogs.
Piss off a liberal today....it's more fun than fishing!
jack, who will speak his piece regardless of what the furreners on this list think...if you're not helping keep your freedom, then you're helping to steal mine!
