Sure it looks like a real email to you, from a list member, too. Ok so

But look at that attachment- it is a .pif file, NOT a .txt file!! The
'.TXT' in the middle means nothing at all, so don't be fooled. Look at the
end of the file for the last 'extension'. And what exactly does
'converted' mean- hope is doesn't really mean 'decoded and executed'.
Converted to another format ?? without asking you first? Not nice.

If you see a file like this DELETE it immediately since it has been
generated in another computer by a trojan/worm/whatever.

And DISABLE 'vb script' in your email program so these things will not be
automatically started in your computer.

And do whatever else needs be done to protect your system- a guru will
give you complete details. All Listers should have minimally secure
computers.

Personally, I wouldn't touch a .pif file with a 10 foot pole.
