And this is one reason why I think the bills can not be made to apply to
folks who already own legally purchased MVs (i.e. transfered from the
military to civilians through correct methods). Our courts regullarly
support the notion of "grandfathering" and "fair compensation". The
Constitution is pretty clear about these two issues, so I wonder if these
bills would just affect stuff "illegally" sold out of military stocks and
future sales.
Don't get me wrong, I am not trying to figure out a way to live with
this, but I always like to know the "what ifs" about stuff like this. In
particular, "what if this crap actually passes? What will that REALLY
mean for us?".
