There's a product that my local surplus store offers and the guy there
swears by it. I'll drop by and see what the brand name is. If memory
serves, I think that it ran about $20.00 a gallon.

I heard somewhere of a guy melting a toilet bowl wax ring into some oil and
using it.It sounds like it could work but I don't know the oil to use.Maybe
boiled linseed oil?This could be a formula for a cheap but good canvas
coating.
