A friend put synthetic gear oil in the boxes of his M-37 and said it was
one of the best things he has done. He claims to have more power -
especially in cold weather when starting out.
I stopped by NAPA this morning to price out the 5 gallons I need for my
1944 Chevy 1 1/2 ton truck. The guy I deal with said Valvoline recommends
putting it in older vehicles as too much leakage will occur. Other than age
my truck only has 7k miles on it so it shouldn't be worn.
What has been your experiences with synthetic as a 90W replacement?
