M38A1 & M38 questions

  Many thanks to all listers on the questions about the top bows & carb.
  Since that seemed too easy, how about his one ?
  Tinkering around with ehe GAZ command car this last weekend. Seems no
fire to the plugs,. Checking into what appears to be the fuse box, HUH ?
 Looks like fuses are made up of small 3/4" squares of little fiber board
stuff with one end in an U shape. Strung across this one end is copper
wire. Some thick, some 2 strand. Makes you wonder. Suppose if one
strand is 10 amp. 2 is 20 ?
  Anybody got a line on these fuses ?
