Ah Agincourt again... it follows so closely after Trafalger Day [another
french defeat] that one sometimes overlooks it :-)

Oh yes and who can forget the last invasion of the United kingdom in
1797? For those who do not know of this event a French invasion force
landed at Fishguard in Wales. While the Pembrokeshire Yeomanry were
assembling to do battle with them a local woman called Jemima Nicholas,
rallied a large group of other women who marched upon the French wearing
the traditional Welsh red coats and tall hats.
The French, seeing the strange costume were convinced that an army of
crack troops was about to descend on them, and surrendered immediately.
Jemima herself is reputed to have rounded up a dozen invaders using only
a pitchfork.
