I think it would be prudent to hook up a couple 100 Watt bulbs in series
for each leg of the generator output. If I ever fire one of mine up, this
is what I plan to do. So if you have Delta, Wye, or just 2-pole output, at
least each potentially hot leg will have a load (and a 'fuse'). And better
yet, you will be able to see the bulbs glowing when you start the engine.
If in doubt just bring the 3 bulb leads together to a common point (Wye),
even if it is a Delta setup. Should not matter initially?? Perhaps there
is a better approach- my mileage has not yet begun. Commercial power is
just too damned reliable here.
