I want to thank again all the mil-veh members that have sent in
additions and corrections to this growing list. I have received a large
number of responses and they have all been incorporated into the next
list. I plan on having version 3 on-line Wed 07 Nov.
I appreciate nitpickers rooting out and correcting errors, probably
because I'm one myself and I don't like to perpetuate mistakes. In a
reference list as extended as this one there's going to be some keystroke
errors. Through past experience though, I've found the quickest way to
get a reference list proofread is to put it out in front of a group of
nitpickers. With the vast amount of knowledge and attention to detail
that this list has I'm not expecting any errors to slip through.
Would someone on the list please send off-line basic info on the M1
Abrams; M2; M3 Bradley; and upgrades for inclusion in version 3 ? My
original source data is from the mid-70's, thus the armor is listed: XM1
Abrams, and XM723 MICV. (the nitpicker's would have a heart attack ;-)
I'm rather limited on modern armor statistics, Panzerkampwagen's
interest me more.
