The reason for the aircraft spec bomb test (eg. BG M519), the plug is placed
in a glass cylinder and air admitted to a nominal pressure (typically
200psi), at a specified voltage the plug shall still spark reliably. Having
some that don't operate under cylinder pressure can lead you a merry song
and dance.
