Highbeam indicator

Troops,
The headlights do go from low to high without trouble. I have replaced all
of the bulbs before. Spit works extremely well in making contact between
the ears on the bulb holders. The problem is that I can't figure out if
indicator is illuminated by a bulb or by an LED or something. The indicator
may not be blue, it has been a while since I 've seen it.
This is not a devastating problem. It used to be intermittent, but has been
constant for a while. More annoying than anything else. It is the best
thing to have wrong with a CUCV, if one is given the choice.
I will drive it in the country tonite to see if the Southern Northern Lights
will have a healing effect on it.

My 1984 M1009 has two pale colored lights that come on when I hit my high
beams. They're located at three quarters of the way up on the speedometer
face. They are VERY bright and I'd really rather not have them. The high
beams come on by pulling the turn signal indicator arm towards you and go
off the same way. Haven't seen a blue light.

Regards,

Ed
