I have NEVER seen a M34A1 or A2, or seen this documented, BUT I have seen
(and own) a truck built on a M44A2 chassis....which is a multifuel powered
cab and chassis with 6 11:00 x20 tires....the example I have has mounted a
M44A2WLF fire apparatus bed. The truck was remanufactured in the 80's to be
equipped with 10 9:00x20 tires, but the model number was not changed.
I suspect that M44A2 chassis are the base for a very few trucks.
There are MANY other chassis, some truly obscure...the short wheelbase
chassis that is the basis for certain tractors and dump trucks, special
chassis for wreckers....all of these have there own M number...I hope to put
a "complete" list of these together this weekend to assist with "M number"
list compilation. There are easily a couple hundred numbers in the G-742
(Reo) series.
Hope this helps,
David
