The injectors, like just about everything else on the GM 6.2 liter
diesel engine, are metric. I got an NOS injector socket on Ebay from
molinestud@aol.com. You might try contacting him to see if he has any
more. You also might try the parts counter at the local Chevy
dealership, since that engine was used in an awful lot of civilian
vehicles. I don't remember the size of the socket for the injector off
the top of my head. The special tool is basically a special metric
deep socket with room inside to provide clearance for the return line
fittings, and hex flats on top so that it can be turned with a
crowsfoot socket in tight quarters.
