Bob,
You might want to consider modeling parts of it after the Munson Test Course
at the Aberdeen Proving Grounds. They have some interesting features like
the 60 degree hill climb and the "washtub" which is where they test fording
systems.

I am designing a Military Vehicle Driving Range for my MVPA chapter. I
was wondering if anyone else out there had a chapter with their own
range and what type of obstacle's were involved, land size, layout, etc.
Our plan is to use this for personal practice, instruction in MV
driving, and public exhibition of what our MV's can do. I envision one
day that this could be a range that many chapters other than mine could
convoy to and use and would be a great venue for possible future
national convention. I know that the French Army Museum has one they
frequently do public demos on of some of their exhibit vehicles. Would
appreciate any ideas or insight that anyone would be willing to give.
