Thanks to everyone who replied. My reason for asking about these was
that I carefully cleaned the paint off of the high beam and Air-shift
indicators the other night. Since these two looked similar, I cleaned the
paint off of them too. I didn't actually try and turn the lights on after
cleaning them.
From initial responses, I was a little worried that I was going to have
to paint back over them, but I checked the lights last night and nothing
shows through them, so I am relieved.
