Rikk,
You need the heater mounting plates. All of the kits I have purchased,
though built in the 1980's, were designed for the early gas powered
M-35's. They had a shelf type inner fender that the heater would mount
on. You'll also discover that the heater water hose do not go where
indicated in the diagram and one hose will be too short. You'll have to
get a 5'x5/8" length of heater hose and maybe a 3/4"x1/2" pipe bushing
for the petcock if you install one on the water pump (there's a 3/4" plug
located just above the alternator).
Richard Greene Equipment offered these plates, pre-drilled. If you can
make contact with Craig, at Greene's, see if they have any.
