Jon,
Unless you are looking to restore this truck to a Master Class vehicle, the
color really doesn't matter if it is perfect. I live next door to a U.S. Army
mechanic with over 25 years experience. He has given me a lot of advice on my
own M35 and one statement stands out above all other. Do not make it perfect
because none of them ever were, therefore it wouldn't be authentic to have a
vehicle 100% perfect. For example, my M35 has vinyl seats (a common practice
in some units) however there isn't anything in the TM's on vinyl seats. So if
your paint choice isn't completely perefect then your truck would be more
like something you would actually find in service rather than on the end of a
factory production line.
