Mfg Date for an M101A1.. Help

HI Everyone... A question on an M101... I have an M101A1 but no markings
or data plates... How would I find out the year?? I know it may be a
broad time period... But when did the M101A1s come out, when did they start
making them???

The only clue I have is markings on the tail lights... 1992... Anyone
have any ideas...
