'Cuse me while I squeeze in here between all the 'GL'
conversation to ask if anyone has a clue to why the
plastic speedo gears would melt down in an NP208
transfer case.
The speedometer cable is not binding and the gears,
particularly the black one that comes in through the
side of the 208 tail shaft shows the stringy, balled
up residue you get when plastic melts. This is
evident around where the teeth were.
