I agree with Gene. GL buys the goods, then they should complete the
EUC and we should only be required to sign Section V. Certification
Statement (to be signed by any US citizen/national/permanent
resident holder to whom material is sold). There is/was a statement I
once read that if so stated on the Form 97, then the government must
be notified of the buyer, whether it be me, another dealer or a private
individual. I haven't encountered this, yet.
The EUC that I downloaded in September of 2001, had this section
crossed out and I believe that this is where my buyers must and do
sign. I also advise them to have this section signed if/when they sell
the truck(s) they buy from me (I supply a blank copy for them to use).
I keep this signed section with the buyer's file and also give them a
photocopy for their records.
