"row after row of slat-grilled jeeps lined up at Crissy Field."
First you ship them all out, and now you want one back! Hmmm.
;-)
If no luck in your area, Lloyd White in Oregon City, Oregon has some
RESTORED 1942-1945 jeeps for sale (Army Motors G503 author). Not cheap, but
he has an excellent reputation and he KNOWS jeeps! He won't accept email, no
faxes, no letters. Interested parties can contact me off list for Lloyd's
phone number.
There are some other jeeps for sale in Oregon. One rough 42 Ford GPW needing
tender loving care is documented (according to the seller) as having come
back from GUAM. That should get some of you American South Pacific history
buffs excited!!!! $650 US. Garry Gressinger is selling it.
candg@teleport.com Garry was selling two other rough 42 GPAs also $650
each, and a 44 MB for $850.
