Folks, As a comment to this posting, these batteries were available a few
years back in HUGE quanities in new-never opened case lot boxes. The go'vt
surplused these as they were found to be FIRE HAZARDS. Some of these would
spontaniously ignite new in the box never opened. When these were sold, the
gov't should have put warnings on them or if they did, the seller didn't
pass it along. Someone brought pallet loads of them to Aberdeen a couple of
years ago and sold huge quanities of them. They are for the PRC-26 and
PRC-77 military radios. Be careful with these if you have any stored in
your house or warehouse. Julian Burke
