BOY, DO I HAVE YOU FOOLED!!!
Is the M211 a 2.5 ton?
YES
What about a M135?
SAME BASIC TRUCK, BUT HAS 6 1100x20 TIRES VS 10 900x20 TIRES ON THE 211.
OTHER DETAIL DIFFERENCES AS WELL.
I found a truck similar to a M211 with no data plates
looking like a M211 and had M135....with some spaces and then
12302.
IF YOU GOT THIS INFO OFF THE FRAME, THAT IS THE MODEL AND SERIAL NUMBER
I was assuming that it was a M135, might I be correct?
YEP
Could you give me some pros and cons on that truck while you are at it
!!!!!!
SAME PROS AND CONS AS THE 211, WITH INTERESTING ASIDE THAT THIS TRUCK (AND
THE M34) WERE SHOD WITH LARGE SINGLE TIRES IN THE EARLY 50'S, FOR ALL THE
SAME REASON THE ARMY HAS GONE TO "SUPER SINGLES" NOW, UNCLE JUST FORGOT THE
LESSON!!! (BTW, THE NEW ARMY TRUCKS HAVE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSIONS TOO, HMMMM)
By the way, if that is a M135, is it supposed to have dual wheels on the back
to axles ??
NOPE
Thanks very much for your help !!
